With this recent project, I wanted to explore some of the multifacetecd ways woman can express their feminity. Working closely with three subjects, I had them each select a song that resonted with their personal journal as a woman. These songs served as the structure within which I made all the creative decisions for the photoshoot.
Collaboration played an integral role in bringing these concepts to life. With the support of my team of lighitng assistants, hair and make up artist, and stylist, we worked together to create a scene that harmonized with each chosen song. The goal was to create images that mirrored the emotions of the music.
After creating the intial images, I wanted to incorporate the sense of personal connection that tied back to the original theme. To restore this, I decided to print the photographs and collage them together to introduce a tactile element and more intimacy.
These images really only scratch the surface for me, and sparked an interest I am very excited to expand upon. I plan to continue this project to include more subjects and a more varied view of femininity.
